LimeWire

I found myself in some serious debates with a few students of mine over whether or not LimeWire music is legal. They wanted to justify the stealing of music by telling me it's LimeWire's fault for allowing file sharing in the first place. In case any of you were wondering whether or not it is legal to get free music from limewire.com it's not. Unless you pay for the download. There was even one point in the debate when I told a certain student that there is no difference between going into Wal-Mart and stealing a CD versus downloading free music from LimeWire. His response was, "Na-Uh, because when I go to LImeWire I only get the songs from the CD I like, not the whole album!" Just remember that whenever we find ourselves in need of justifying our actions it's probably not good.
